By purchasing kiln-dried logs from Staffordshire Log Store you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
1. General Information
- About Us: Staffordshire Log Store is a supplier of high-quality kiln-dried logs for domestic and commercial use. Our logs are responsibly sourced and processed to provide the best possible fuel for your fires.
2. Product Information
- Product Description: All kiln-dried logs sold by Staffordshire Log Store are dried using a kiln process to ensure they meet high-quality standards for burning efficiency and ease of use.
- Wood Types and Sizes: The types of wood available (e.g., oak, ash, beech) and their sizes (e.g., 10-inch logs, 12-inch logs) will be clearly listed on the website. Sizes may vary slightly depending on the cutting process, but we strive to ensure consistency.
- Moisture Content: Our kiln-dried logs have a moisture content of less than 20%, which makes them suitable for immediate use in fireplaces, stoves, and other heating appliances.
3. Pricing
- Price List: All prices are listed in Pounds and are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice but will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
- Delivery Charges: Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on the size of your order and delivery location. Delivery charges are clearly displayed before you confirm your order.
4. Order Process
- Order Confirmation: Upon placing an order, you will receive an email confirmation with the details of your order. This is not an acceptance of your order but confirmation that we have received it.
- Order Acceptance: We reserve the right to accept or decline orders at our discretion. If we are unable to fulfill your order, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer an alternative or a refund.
5. Delivery
- Delivery Times: We aim to deliver all orders within 2 business days from the date of order confirmation. Delivery times may vary depending on your location and the size of your order. Please note that we cannot guarantee specific delivery dates.
- Delivery Area: We deliver to in and around Staffordshire. If your delivery address is outside of our standard delivery area, please contact us for further details and potential additional charges.
- Delivery Responsibility: You must ensure someone is available to receive the goods upon delivery or advise us upon ordering where you would like then products to be left. In doing so items are left at the customers discretion.
- Delivery Address: It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the delivery address is accurate. We are not responsible for any delays or missed deliveries due to incorrect or incomplete address information.
6. Returns and Refunds
- Eligibility for Return: Due to the nature of the product, returns are only accepted for faulty goods or damaged items received upon delivery. If you are not satisfied with your order or have received damaged goods, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt.
- Return Process: If your order is eligible for a return, we will provide return instructions and a refund or replacement as appropriate. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except in the case of damaged or incorrect items.
- Refunds: Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of receiving the returned items. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
7. Product Use and Storage
- Proper Storage: Kiln-dried logs must be stored in a dry, well-ventilated area, ideally off the ground, to prevent them from absorbing moisture and losing their drying benefits. We are not liable for the misuse or improper storage of our products.
- Intended Use: Our kiln-dried logs are intended for use in wood-burning stoves, fireplaces, and similar heating appliances. We do not guarantee the suitability of our products for other uses.
8. Liability
- Limitation of Liability: Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the products. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from the use of our products, including damage to appliances or property.
- Product Quality: While we strive to provide only the highest-quality kiln-dried logs, we cannot guarantee that the logs will perform in all environments or conditions. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they use the logs correctly and in accordance with appliance manufacturer guidelines.
9. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation Before Dispatch: Orders can be cancelled up to 24 hours before dispatch. After this time, orders cannot be cancelled.
- Cancellation After Dispatch: If an order is cancelled after dispatch, the customer will need to return the goods according to our return policy.
10. Risk of Loss
- Risk Transfer: The risk of loss or damage to the logs passes to the customer once the goods have been delivered to the specified address. We recommend checking the condition of the logs upon delivery and contacting us immediately if there are any issues.
11. Customer Responsibilities
- Accurate Information: By purchasing from our website, you confirm that the information provided, including your shipping address and payment details, is accurate and up-to-date.
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to place an order with us.
12. Changes to Terms and Conditions
- Modification of Terms: We reserve the right to update and modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page and will take effect immediately upon posting. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically for any updates.
Refunds and Returns Policy for Kiln-Dried Logs
At Staffordshire Log Store we are committed to providing high-quality kiln-dried logs and exceptional customer service. Due to the nature of our product, we have a specific refund and return policy to ensure that you are satisfied with your purchase.
1. Eligibility for Returns and Refunds
- Faulty or Damaged Products: If you receive kiln-dried logs that are damaged or defective (e.g. Moisture content is above 20%), please contact us immediately (within 48 hours of delivery). We will offer you a full refund or replacement at no extra cost, including delivery charges.
- Incorrect Products: If you receive the wrong type of logs, we will arrange for a return and offer a refund or exchange.
- No Returns for Change of Mind: Due to the nature of our product (firewood/logs), we do not accept returns if you change your mind or no longer need the logs once they have been delivered.
2. Return Process
- Contact Us: To initiate a return or report a damaged or incorrect product, please contact our customer service team via email or phone, providing your order number and details of the issue.
- Return Instructions: We will provide you with return instructions. If the logs are faulty or incorrect, we will arrange for collection at no additional cost to you.
- Packaging and Condition: Please ensure the logs are stored properly (dry and covered) and in their original condition if you need to return them. Logs should not be used or exposed to weather conditions that could affect their quality.
3. Refunds
- Refund Issuance: Refunds will be processed within 14 days after we receive the returned products. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
- Refund Amount: If the return is due to a defect, damage, or an error on our part, we will refund the full price of the logs, including delivery charges. If the return is due to any other reason a collection/ handling fee will be applied and no refund will be given
4. Non-Refundable Items
- Change of Mind: We do not accept returns for any reason other than faulty or damaged goods.
- Used or Opened Logs: We cannot accept returns for logs that have been used or opened.
5. Return Shipping Costs
- Faulty or Incorrect Products: If your order is incorrect or damaged, we will cover the return shipping costs.
- Customer-Caused Returns: If you are returning logs for any reason other than damage or error on our part, you will be responsible for the return shipping charges.
6. How to Handle Delivery Damage
- Inspect Upon Delivery: When receiving your kiln-dried logs, please inspect them immediately. If the package appears damaged or the logs are visibly incorrect please refuse the delivery and contact us right away.
- Damage After Delivery: If the damage or issues occurs after the delivery has been accepted (e.g., in transit), please contact us as soon as possible within 48 hours of receipt to report the damage and arrange for a refund or replacement.
7. Cancellation Policy
- Order Cancellations: Orders can be cancelled before shipment. Once the order is dispatched, we are unable to cancel the order, and the return process will apply if necessary.
- Cancellation After Dispatch: If you decide to cancel after dispatch, you will need to follow the return process once the product has been delivered.
